Luftstoff
The workshop explored air as an invisible yet highly influential medium that continuously affects our bodies, environment, and social relationships. It focused on current research into microorganisms in the atmosphere, airborne substances, and biotechnological approaches to modifying and controlling air qualities.
Against this background, the workshop raised the question of how we want to shape our influence on air and which ideas of atmosphere, body, and environment are connected to it: What kind of air do we want to breathe?

Air was understood not only as a natural component of our environment, but also as a designable space in which questions of health, control, technology, and social coexistence overlap. From scent communication and aerosols to climatic interventions, new possibilities emerge for deliberately influencing atmospheric processes.Against this background, the workshop raised the question of how we want to shape our influence on air and which ideas of atmosphere, body, and environment are connected to it: What kind of air do we want to breathe?
